제목이 뭐 저러냐고 한다면야 할말 없지만.
.....저거 이번에 엘튼존 버전의 뮤지컬 아이다. 그 앨범의 12번 트랙 제목이다.
곡도 좋고~ 가사도 멋지고.

무척이나 멋졌다.
사실 열린음악회(7월 31일자)에서 옥주현과 이석준이라는 사람이 함께 부른 곡도 좋았지만 네헵카(네헤브카로도 읽지만)과 아이다, 그리고 누비아인들과의 합창이라고 해도 좋을 정도의 이 곡은, 정복당한 누비아인들의 자신의 국가에 대한 자신감과 사랑을 느낄수 있었달까? 그래서 좋았다.

중간에 나온

대충 의역하자면....(맞을지 아닐지는 술먹은 관계로 알수 없음)
신은 누비아를 사랑하고 우리는 신이 지켜준다는것을 믿는다.
정도일까.(틀리면 배 째!)




아이다. 그러면 좀 엇나간 사랑 이야기 같지만.
솔직히 누비아라 하면 지금의 아프리카 남부의 광대한 지역이기도 하고....
크리스티앙 자크의 소설 람세스에 나오는 지역명이기도 하지만.
그런건 차치하고..
이곳은 고대 이집트 시기에는 분명히 황금의 땅이었으니까. 정복당했다. 라는거지만.


누비아의 왕은 그대로 총독으로 남기도 했고, 그들도 정복당해서 나쁠건 없었던 시기.
그 시기의 이야기를 중세와 현대의 정복전과 약간 섞은 느낌이 들 정도로...



하여간 보러 가고 싶을 뿐..........
